I ran across the (in)courage website/blog http://incourage.me in early 2012, and have been impressed by its positive, uplifting posts that are truly encouraging and supportive to me as a Christian woman. The blog is affiliated the Hallmark’s Heartsong line of inspirational cards/products, and it has a worldwide following.
When readers of the blog asked about the possibility of a 2012 annual convention of the blog’s readers, so they could meet face-to-face, the powers that be came up with an intriguing alternative: asking volunteers to host local gatherings to allow the blog’s local followers to meet each other and to encourage them and other Christian women to connect with each other, share their experiences and insights, and possibly form new Christian women friendships.
The local gatherings were called (in) Real Life meetups, abbreviated (in)RL. Over 2,000 women worldwide attended their local meetups on April 28, 2012. I’ve signed up to host the second annual “Elko Area” (in)RL meetup at my Lamoille home at 1 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013, and if you’re local, YOU’RE INVITED! If you’re not local to the Elko, NV, area, there is probably an (in)RL Beach House gathering near you on that date. In either case, click here to register!
The (in)RL webcast kicks off on Friday, April 26. Tune in by yourself for an hour on Friday for the opening session. {You. Your computer. In your jammies eating popcorn & M&M’s. How awesome is that?}
On Saturday, April 27, meet up with old friends and new to spend a few hours in real life community. {So you. Your friends. Meet new friends. Hang out. Be (in)couraged. Eat snacks. Maybe take home a door prize.}

Registration is a two-step process: First, you register with (in)courage for the conference and your free gifts. Second, you sign up to attend the “Elko Area” (in)courage homes for the hearts of women meetup (or the meetup nearest you). Be sure you complete both steps! The registration process will lead you through them.
It will be like going to a fun women’s getaway at a “beach house,” but without the beach. (We know how scarce beaches are in our high desert!) At my Elko Area gathering, we’ll watch whatever (in)RL webcasts appeal to us, enjoy some snacks and good conversation, receive door prizes, and hopefully make some new Christian friends!
