Over 300 participants in the Sept. 10, 2012, Elko Nevada Wine Walk visited the Elko County Art Club Gallery and viewed the room full of my creations. The also witnessed me demonstrating encaustic painting and nibbled on homemade treats as they refilled their wine glasses with the Gallery’s wine offerings.
Other gallery visitors also saw my works during the entire month of September. This resulted in several sales, most notably my Rainbow Steed original three-dimensional creation. I’m very grateful to the gallery for inviting me to be their Guest Artist for September. It was exciting having a one-woman show!
I also enjoyed doing the encaustic (melted wax) demo and showing off my various wax painting tools. The 3-hour demo resulted in dozens of beautiful encaustic miniatures. I sold some at the event, but I don’t know quite what to do with the rest of them.
So here’s the giveaway: I’ll send a random selection of three of my encaustic miniatures to each of the first three people to post a comment on this blog entry. If you’re one of the first three posters, please email your mailing address privately to Kristi@KristiLynGlass.com so I’ll know where to send the artwork. Each work is an encaustic original on coated metallic paper, suitable for framing.
If you don’t win in the giveaway, you may purchase a random selection of five of these encaustic miniatures for $10.00, including postage and Nevada sales tax (if applicable). If this interests you, email me, and I’ll email you a PayPal invoice that you can pay with a major credit card or your PayPal account. These original art miniatures would make great Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers, but I’ll bet you’ll want to keep some of them for yourself!
If you’re local and would like to visit my Lamoille, Nevada, studio, you can pick out your five miniatures in person from my collection, instead of receiving my random choices. You’ll also be able to do some additional Christmas shopping from my selection of fine art, jewelry, stained glass pillboxes, suncatchers, notecards, and SteedBeads. Contact me to make an appointment for a studio visit.
If you can’t make it to Lamoille, check out my great selection of earrings, necklaces, notecards, magnets, and prints at the Elko Area Chamber of Commerce Gift Shop and the Northeastern Nevada Museum Gift Shop in Elko. And, of course, most of my creations are available on my website or my Etsy.com shop.
